Taste of the Dining Concourse – February 27 – March 3, 11am to 12pm and 4pm to 5pm – Grand Central’s first annual “Taste of the Dining Concourse” will feature free tastings and special offers daily. Get a taste for the international flavor offered at Grand Central Terminal, with Prova Pizzabar, Shake Shack, and Shiro of Japan, among others who will serve free samples throughout the Dining Concourse. New York Transit Museum Holiday Train Show Open through February 26 – It’s the last chance to catch the spirit of the holiday season at the New York Transit Museum Gallery Annex & Store before the 15th Annual Holiday Train Show ends February 26. Valentine’s Day February 14 – Grand Central shops and restaurants have everything you need to help celebrate this Valentine’s Day, from chocolates at Jacques Torres Chocolate, Li-Lac Chocolates and Neuhaus Belgian Chocolate; flowers at Dahlia and Eli Zabar’s Farm to Table; champagne and wine at Central Cellars and Taste NY; and greeting cards at Cursive, Papyrus, P!Q, and Rite Aid. For a special gift, Central Watch is offering a 10-15% discount off all vintage ladies’ watches from February 1 – 14. Additionally, Agern, Cipriani Dolci, Grand Central Oyster Bar, Michael Jordan’s The Steak House N.Y.C., and Prova Pizzabar will be offering special menus to celebrate the holiday. MTA eTix – This FREE app allows Metro-North Railroad customers to purchase train tickets anytime, anywhere with their mobile devices. The app, available for both iPhone and Android, is now available to all Metro-North customers on the Hudson, Harlem, and New Haven Lines. Official MAS Guided Tours of Grand CentralDaily at 12:30pm – MTA Metro-North Railroad has teamed up with The Municipal Art Society of New York (MAS) and Orpheo Inc. to provide daily docent-guided tours of the Terminal. The 75-minute tour highlights the history, architecture, and operation of one of the world’s largest train terminals. Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for seniors, students, children under 10, members of the military, Metro-North riders with same-day ticket stubs, and MAS members. Private and group tours also can be arranged. Grand Central Terminal Audio ToursDaily from 9am to 6pm – Available in “local” (one-hour) and “express” (30-minute) versions, this self-paced tour focuses on the architectural highlights of the Terminal, its secrets, famous visitors, and sometimes turbulent history. The tour is available at specially marked “GCT Tour” windows in the Main Concourse and downloadable on mobile devices. Audio tours are $9 for adults and $7 for seniors, military, students, and kids.
