National Coffee Day

September 24, 2017

** Calendar Listing for Friday, September 29 **

Grand Central Terminal will be Abuzz on National Coffee Day
with the First-Ever “Grand Central Café” Event

The event will offer $1 coffee, music, coffee flights and more.

Grand Central Terminal is transforming Vanderbilt Hall into a European-style café plaza to celebrate National Coffee Day. Visitors can get their caffeine fix with $1 regular cups of coffee from the vendors that have made Grand Central such a major coffee destination for New Yorkers: Café Grumpy, Financier Patisserie, Brownsville Roasters from Great Northern Food Hall, Irving Farm Coffee Roasters, Joe Coffee, Oren’s Daily Roast, Shake Shack, and Zaro’s Family Bakery.

Visitors can also purchase a $5 flight of Grand Central coffee featuring a 4oz sample from each participating vendor.  Participating vendors will donate all coffee flight proceeds to Coffee Kids, a nonprofit organization that partners with global communities to empower young coffee farmers and improve their livelihoods.

Contributing to the coffeehouse atmosphere will be a reading lounge with library-inspired diversions and reading glasses from Warby Parker and flowers for sale from Dahlia. The event will also feature a variety of musical acts from Music Under New York, coffee talks, latte art demonstrations and more.
