Taste of Grand Central Market – Tuesdays throughout June, 2-3pm – Shoppers are invited to stop by Grand Central Market for a taste of what the Market’s vendors have to offer. Select vendors are offering full-size items for $2, while supplies last. Items include fresh baked goods from Bien Cuit, various pasta dishes from Ceriello Fine Foods, cheeses from Murray’s Cheese, coffee from Oren’s Daily Roast, fresh seafood from Pescatore Seafood Co., and many others.
Holland Herring Festival – June 12 through June 28, Grand Central Oyster Bar – Grand Central Oyster Bar & Restaurant is hosting its 39th Annual Holland Herring Festival, featuring the Nieuwe Maatjes Herring. For 35 years, Oyster Bar has been the first location in the U.S. to receive this Netherlands delicacy. Oyster Bar Executive Chef Sandy Ingber, President Janet Poccia, and Vice President Mohammed Lawal will host the opening ceremonies, with participation from special guests and dignitaries from the Netherlands consulate. The public is invited to attend the official first tasting on June 12 at 12pm and order the filet for $7.25 and the herring salad for $7.95. Warby Parker – Now open – Warby Parker has re-opened in a new location after three years in its original Grand Central storefront. Now located in the 42nd Street Passage, the newly imagined Warby Parker at Grand Central Terminal has introduced their Solarium, an illuminated nook full of mirrors, an ideal spot for trying things on or basking in some light. The new location also features 12 original works by Brooklyn artist and designer Marleigh Culver.
Latineria – Now open – Acclaimed Chef Julian Medina has brought to Grand Central the newest addition to his growing roster of Mexican and Latin restaurants, Latineria. Located in the Dining Concourse on the Lower Level next to the chef’s taqueria, La Chula, this long-anticipated fast-casual concept specializes in traditional Latin cuisine, such as empanadas, Cubanos, and platos.

World Pride 2019 – Throughout June – Grand Central Terminal is proud to participate in World Pride Month with special promotions and offerings from select vendors. Cursive will have its box of six, lavender-scented, rainbow-colored bath fizz tablets for $25. The Bar at Great Northern Food Hall is celebrating with the specialty cocktails “Sunshine, Lemondrops, and Rainbows” and “Mai Ukulele Over the Rainbow.” Irving Farm New York will give away free Pride stickers and plans to donate $0.25 to Lamda Legal for each tagged post of the sticker. Magnolia Bakery will be offering special Pride Pudding and Pride cupcakes and cakes, with 10 percent of proceeds from the Pride Pudding going to The Trevor Project. Doughnut Plant will be selling Pride Doughnuts for $4.75 for the entire month of June, with 5 percent of proceeds from the Pride Doughnuts going to The Trevor Project.
National Doughnut Day – June 7 – The shops and restaurants at Grand Central Terminal are celebrating National Doughnut Day on Friday, June 7 with special offerings and discounts. Doughnut Plant is offering a free doughnut with every purchase, while supplies last. Irving Farm New York is celebrating with $1 off Du’s Doughnuts or any other pastry with purchase of a beverage, and Zaro’s Family Bakery will have $0.99 doughnuts available all day, while supplies last.
Father’s Day – Throughout June – Celebrate dad with a variety of gifts and treats available at the Terminal this month. Central Cellars is toasting dads with its Nobushi Japanese Whisky available for $59.94 and Akashi White Oak Japanese Whisky for $49.94. Central Watch has picked out the perfect gift, the Dan Henry 1947 for $190, and Neuhaus Belgian Chocolates has a “Best Dad” gift box with 16 assorted pralines and truffles for $29 and the liquor collection gift box of 20 top-shelf, liquor-filled, Belgian chocolates for $40. For kitchen-savvy dads, O&Co. is offering its Fornacino Extra Virgin Olive Oil 2019 for $35, and the Sabor D’oro from Spain at $22.
Graduation – Throughout June – Toast the graduate in your life with a bottle of Roederer Estate Brut or Roedere Estate L’ermitage Brut 2012 from Central Cellars for $34.94 and $69.94, respectively. Shoppers looking for a grand gift can stop by Central Watch to pick up the Baltic Bicompax Chronograph for $620.
MTA eTix – This free app allows Metro-North Railroad customers to purchase train tickets anytime, anywhere with their mobile devices. Official MAS Guided Tours of Grand Central – Daily at 12:30pm – MTA Metro-North Railroad has teamed up with The Municipal Art Society of New York (MAS) and Orpheo Inc. to provide daily docent-guided tours of the Terminal. The 75-minute tour highlights the history, architecture, and operation of one of the world’s largest train terminals. Tickets are $30 for adults, $20 for seniors, students, children, members of the military, Metro-North riders with same-day ticket stubs, and MAS members. Official Grand Central Terminal Audio Tours – Daily from 9am to 6pm – Available in “local” (one-hour) and “express” (30-minute) versions, this self-paced tour focuses on the architectural highlights of the Terminal, its secrets, famous visitors, and sometimes turbulent history. The tour is available at the GCT Tours window in the Main Concourse across from Track 30. Audio tours are $12 for adults, $11 for students, and $10 for seniors and kids.
