EVENTS
Coffee Central – August 13, 7:00am to 2:00pm – August is National Coffee Month, and to celebrate, Grand Central Terminal is transforming Vanderbilt Hall into a European-style plaza where 12 Grand Central coffee merchants including NYC favorites like Starbucks, Joe Coffee, Irving Farm, and Café Grumpy, will be selling regular cups of coffee for just $1. Visitors looking for their favorite Grand Central brew can purchase a $5 flight of espresso-sized coffee samples from each participating merchant. All coffee flight proceeds will benefit Action Against Hunger. A fully stamped $5 coffee flight card earns coffee lovers a free, reusable Grand Central travel mug that can be brought to participating coffee shops for discounted coffee through National Coffee Day on September 29. To add to the café atmosphere, attendees can enjoy a variety of musical acts from MTA Music, along with coffee demos and a friendly “barista throwdown” latte art competition among Grand Central baristas. For a list of participating vendors and more information visit: www.grandcentralterminal.com/event/coffee-central/.
