Summer might be coming to the end, but the fun at Grand Central Terminal doesn’t have to. With special tastings and events, there is plenty to enjoy at the Terminal this month. EVENTS
Taste of the Dining Concourse – Wednesdays throughout September, 2:30-4:30pm – Participating Dining Concourse vendors will be offering select menu items on sale for $5 every Wednesday in September from 2:30pm to 4:30pm, while supplies last. Participating vendors include Art Bird & Whiskey Bar, Central Market New York, Frankies Dogs On The Go, Shiro of Japan, Wok Chi, Tri Tip Grill, and more. Trivia and Live Jazz at The Bar – Throughout September – The Bar at Great Northern Food Hall is celebrating September with a couple of new and exciting events at the venue. The public is invited to enjoy live jazz performances on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 5:30pm to 7:30pm, and Saturdays from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. The Bar will also be hosting weekly Trivia Tuesdays at 7:00pm, and triva winners will receive a free round. All events are September only.

Café Grumpy Book Signing – September 25, 6:30pm – Stop by Café Grumpy for a custom bookmark and in-store book signing with cartoonist Liana Finck in celebration of her new collection EXCUSE ME: Cartoons, Complaints and Notes to Self. Finck’s work will be displayed at Café Grumpy’s Grand Central location throughout September and features 10 selections from her café-inspired collection.

National Coffee Day – Through September 29 – Following the Terminal’s Coffee Central event, customers who received the reusable Grand Central Terminal tumbler can enjoy discounts from participating coffee vendors in the Terminal, including Brownsville Roasters, Café Grumpy, Irving Farm New York, Joe Coffee Company, Oren’s Daily Roast, Starbucks, and others. Rosh Hashanah – September 23-30 – Shoppers looking for a sweet treat to welcome the new year can stop by Bien Cuit and pick up their Rosh Hashanah challah, sweetened with caramelized honey, flavored with saffron, and studded with candied orange; or the apple honey pound cake, sweetened with honey, barley malt syrup, and dark brown sugar, with apple cider and orange flower water.

MTA eTix – This free app allows Metro-North Railroad customers to purchase train tickets anytime, anywhere with their mobile devices. The app, available for both iPhone and Android, is available to all Metro-North customers on the Hudson, Harlem, and New Haven Lines. For more information, visit the website here.
Official MAS Guided Tours of Grand Central – Daily at 12:30pm – MTA Metro-North Railroad has teamed up with The Municipal Art Society of New York (MAS) and Orpheo Inc. to provide daily docent-guided tours of the Terminal. The 75-minute tour highlights the history, architecture, and operation of one of the world’s largest train terminals. Tickets are $30 for adults, $20 for seniors, students, children, members of the military, Metro-North riders with same-day ticket stubs, and MAS members. Official Grand Central Terminal Audio Tours – Daily from 9am to 6pm – Available in “local” (one-hour) and “express” (30-minute) versions, this self-paced tour focuses on the architectural highlights of the Terminal, its secrets, famous visitors, and sometimes turbulent history. The tour is available at the GCT Tours window in the Main Concourse across from Track 30. Audio tours are $12 for adults, $11 for students, and $10 for seniors and kids. Languages include English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Mandarin Chinese, and Japanese. No reservations needed. Information is available at https://www.grandcentralterminal.com/tours/.
