EVENTS
Taste of Grand Central Market – Tuesdays throughout October, 2:00pm-3:00pm – The anniversary celebration continues throughout October with $2 Tuesdays at Grand Central Market. Popular items such asMurray’s Cheeses, Pescatore Salmon Meatballs and Bien Cuit croissantsK, will be available for just $2 while supplies last. Shoppers who share photos of their $2 purchase on social media will have the chance to win a $100 Mercato gift card to Grand Central Market.
Trick or Treat the Terminal – October 27, 12:00pm-3:00pm – Families are invited for free activities and trick or treating. Providing a safe indoor setting to celebrate this holiday favorite, families can explore the Terminal and collect candy at nine locations throughout while enjoying spooky music from three live acts and meeting some surprise characters. Additional Halloween activities will take place at the Grand Central Taxi Stand (Vanderbilt Avenue), including live pumpkin carvings and a tote bag giveaway to carry your haul, and also containing a $10 Mercato Gift Card for Grand Central Market. y More information can be found here.
Santa Margherita’s Follow the Vine – October 14-15, 12:00pm to 7:00pm – Immerse yourself in Santa Margherita’s deep rooted Italian heritage and experience the brand’s love story, during its Follow the Vine event on October 14 and October 15 from 12:00pm to 7:00pm in Vanderbilt Hall. Be transported to Santa Margherita’s Italian vineyards, with the opportunity to walk through a maze of vines and learn about the origin of their wines and winery. Signature cocktails and food/wine pairings will be served, featuring the brand’s full range of wines including Pinot Grigio, Prosecco Superiore, Sparkling Rosé and Chianti Classico Riserva. FUJIFILM Printlife Photo Exhibition – October 16-20 – In 2018, Fujifilm launched a global initiative to remind people of the joys of printing personal photos. To inspire them, Fujifilm asked people to send in digital photos for a chance to have them printed and displayed in Grand Central Terminal’s Vanderbilt Hall. Fujifilm Print Life Photo Exhibition is the result. The exhibition will include visual slices of life from across the land and beyond. The event is free and open to the public October 16, 4pm–8pm; October 17–19, 8am–8pm; October 20, 8am–5pm. More information can be found here.

Saskia – Opening October 1 – After years at Grand Central’s Holiday Fair and in seasonal kiosks, the Terminal is excited to welcome Saskia’s first permanent storefront location in the Graybar Passage, between Beer Table and Central Cellars. Saskia’s jewelry designs, made from materials collected around the world, are the perfect match for one of the world’s greatest travel hubs. The first 20 customers during the grand opening on October 1 will receive an exclusive free gift with their purchase.
Swarovski – Opening Early October – Grand Central Terminal is excited to welcome premiere jewelry and accessory brand Swarovski. Just in time for the holiday season, Swarovski is joining the Terminal’s retail family between the Lexington and Graybar Passages.

National Dessert Month – Throughout October – Shoppers with a sweet tooth are invited to stop by a variety of Grand Central Terminal’s vendors for special treats. Bien Cuit is introducing a new buckwheat chocolate mousse cake, Great Northern Food Hall is celebrating with a bag of house-baked mini chocolate chip cookies or chocolate caramel brownies, and Jacques Torres is offering a sixth cookie free with the purchase of five of their famous chocolate chip cookies.
National Chocolate Month – Celebrate National Chocoate month by visiting LiLac Chocolates in Grand Central Market and enjoying over 120 speciality gourmet chocolates. Also get into the spirit of Halloween with their $65 “Big Scary Chocolate Ghost” and twenty other Halloween themed items items for kids and adults alike.
National Cookie Month – Throughout October – Stop by Central Market New York for a homemade cookie, baked fresh daily around 2 pm. Great Northern Food Hall is offering a four pack of mini chocolate chip cookies for $3.75, and a four pack of gluten-free mini double chocolate carmel brownies for $5. Cookie lovers can also get their fix at Bien Cuit, Irving Farm New York, and Jacques Torres.
National Nut Day – October 22 – Nuts are always better with Chocolate (and caramel!). Discover the finest versions of this combination while celebrating National Nut Day with Li-Lac Chocolates in Grand Central Market. Enjoy their Nut Clusters or Nut Chews for $36/lb.
National Vodka Day – October 4 – Celebrate National Vodka Day with Central Cellar’s award-winning Texan vodka, Nue Vodka. The Bar at Great Northern Food Hall offers many locally produced vodkas, and to celebrate on October 4, all vodkas on the list are $10 all day.

MTA eTix – This free app allows Metro-North Railroad customers to purchase train tickets anytime, anywhere with their mobile devices. The app, available for both iPhone and Android, is available to all Metro-North customers on the Hudson, Harlem, and New Haven Lines. For more information, visit the website here.
Official MAS Guided Tours of Grand Central – Daily at 12:30pm – MTA Metro-North Railroad has teamed up with The Municipal Art Society of New York (MAS) and Orpheo Inc. to provide daily docent-guided tours of the Terminal. The 75-minute tour highlights the history, architecture, and operation of one of the world’s largest train terminals. Tickets are $30 for adults, $20 for seniors, students, children, members of the military, Metro-North riders with same-day ticket stubs, and MAS members. Official Grand Central Terminal Audio Tours – Daily from 9am to 6pm – Available in “local” (one-hour) and “express” (30-minute) versions, this self-paced tour focuses on the architectural highlights of the Terminal, its secrets, famous visitors, and sometimes turbulent history. The tour is available at the GCT Tours window in the Main Concourse across from Track 30. Audio tours are $12 for adults, $11 for students, and $10 for seniors and kids. Languages include English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Mandarin Chinese, and Japanese. No reservations needed. Information is available at https://www.grandcentralterminal.com/tours/.
