New York Makers, founded in 2012, offers a curated digital shop featuring locally-made products, from Herkimer Diamond jewelry, recently included in an Oprah Magazine gift guide, to gift boxes filled with holiday treats. Together with original content on its magazine and in person experiences, New York Makers brings readers and participants inside the stories of makers and their communities. New York Makers has established relationships with nearly 100+ strong, small and creative businesses located across the state and is constantly adding more makers and products.
The team behind New York Makers, which includes co-founder Silda Wall Spitzer, former First Lady of New York State, also brings you Silda’s Jam. We make Silda’s Jam with New York maple syrup and in small batches in a scenic Germantown kitchen overlooking the Hudson Valley, with our very own hands, using the finest New York State-produced ingredients, from fruits to florals. Our jam is vegan and our flavors are distinctive, for example, Silda’s Gingerbread Peach, which debuted at the Grand Central Holiday Fair in 2018.
